Head Instructor Danny Campos
Danny Campos (pictured with Mr. International, multiple World Champion, and official trainer for the Royal Court Martial Arts Academy – Mr. Shonie Carter)
Danny Campos started Martial Arts in his teens in Milwaukee at the Karate Institute of America.
Danny learned the Kajukenpo Style of Martial Arts. It’s a hybrid martial art from Hawaii. It was developed in the late 1940s and founded in 1947 in Palama, Hawaii.
The name Kajukenpo is a combination of the various arts from which its style is derived: KA for Karate, JU for Judo and Jujitsu, KEN for Kenpo. Kajukenpo training incorporates a blend of striking, kicking, throwing, takedowns, joint locks, and weapon disarmament.
When Danny grew older, he trained in other Martial Arts Systems like Muay Thai Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He eventually found his style with Greek Pankration. Pankration is one of the oldest Martial Arts and is a full circle Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Danny became the World Pankration Champion in 2000 in Greece and has traveled all over the world competing and promoting Pankration.
Danny is now the Head Instructor for the Royal Court Martial Arts Academy where he shares his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of students and Pankration Athletes.
Danny and the other Royal Court Instructors train with world class talent that are not only our mentors but also our very good friends. These trainers included but not limited to – Mr. International, World Champion Shonie Carter, Mr. Justin Proctor (Miletech Fighting Systems under Pat Miletich), Master Craig Pumphrey, Master Ivan Dale and Grandmaster David Sixel.
